I am a biracial, bisexual. binational mother of three. I am a writer, occasional spoken word artist, activist and have a monthly spoken word, live music open-mic called VOCAB. I was born in Germany to a white German mother and African-American man from Michigan. We moved to Indianapolis when I was 2, my father left when I was 6 and I was raised by my immigrant mother in the northern-most southern state in the country. I was a latchkey kid that moved a lot and only found comfort in compostion notebooks. I am constantly striving to find my truth. I am constantly fighting to stand up and speak out for those that can’t. This has become a place for me to do just that. This is my journey… sometimes wordy, full of run on sentences, sometimes personal, sometimes politically charged, and sometimes writen for no one other than myself.
